Cascadia Windows & Doors is proud to announce the company will be participating in this year’s Light the Night walk, organized by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada. Hosted across Canada on Oct 23, this annual event raises funds for blood cancer research, as well as patient and family support services.
“I’m very excited for the Cascadia team to be participating in the Light the Night event this year,” says Peter Thomson, vice president of sales and marketing at Cascadia. “Apart from supporting families battling blood cancers—not to mention the incredible medical research going on in BC—I’m excited for our team to come together for this great cause, especially after such a tumultuous, disconnected year.”
To help the society towards this year’s $1-million-dollar goal—its largest yet—the Cascadia team has set a fundraising goal of $10,000, with the company committed to donating an additional $5,000, for a total potential donation of $15,000.
While this is the first year Cascadia has partnered with Light the Night, there was already a connection to the company and its staff.
“When we first began discussing becoming involved with Light the Night, I was amazed at how many people at Cascadia have been touched by blood cancers,” explains Thomson. “The stories people had about their own journeys and battles really brought home the importance of this event and the work of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.”
